Advent 4213

The Advent 4213 Netbook is priced at the top end of the market for netbooks so we were hoping for something a bit special from this particular machine.  Were we disapointed?

It is equipped with the Intel Atom processor and features a whopping 160gb hard drive and 1gb of RAM.  It weighs in at 1.4kg and is fitted iwth a 10.2 inch TFT screen which runs at a resolution of 1024x600 which we really like.

Advent 4213 Positives:

We liked:

• Built in wireless mobile connectivity.
• Good screen with matt finish to eliminate reduce reflections.

Advent 4213 Negatives

We'd like to see improved:

• Mouse and touchpad (a common netbook complaint at the time of writing).
• Keyboard keys are on the small side making it difficult to type at speed.

Advent 4213 Conclusion

This is a very good netbook enjoying mobile wireless connectivity although you will need a seperate mobile broadband contract to exploit this to the full.  It's large capacity hard drive should be ample enough for all but the most demanding users.  Some flaws but nontheless a great machine.  We'd score it at 80%.
